SOLD!

First year of the legendary RC51. One the most badass bikes of all time, if you’ve never ridden one you should buy this just to say you have.

I pulled it out to take the photos, it fired right up after 9 months of storage. Fuel stabilizer always added to my bikes, and stored indoors. This bike is ~90% original, although has it’s fair share of bumps and nicks. Has been down but repaired pretty well, still has some telltale signs. Comes with a bunch of service records, original manual and a few other bits of paperwork. I'm the third owner. Tires probably need to be replaced due to age. 32,966 miles.

It’s been a commuter, converted to a track bike, converted back to street for Sunday rides, and then put out to pasture. I did have grand plans to convert it to a race bike but that never happened. Mechanically it is in great condition, and rides well. Two Brothers carbon pipes sound divine. The current forks and mirrors show their age and use, but I have plenty of extras that can bring this back to it’s former glory.

Alongside the bike, I’ve also got;
a full set of fiberglass race fairings,
a spare OEM tail piece,
near perfect extra gas tank (no marks, dents or leaks, just a little JB weld on the underside),
perfect extra swingarm
spare set of Nissin 4-pot calipers for RC51
spare set of forks, near perfect, serviced for a 200lb rider and then stored
set of Sato titanium cans and mid-pipes. Pipes are perfect but the cans are probably only good as donors for the outer shell and badges.

If you’re on the fence about this, I can promise you there’s a million reasons to convince you to pull the trigger. Want to race AFM SuperDino or Open Twins? Check. Want a track bike that sounds awesome and the tech guys all come over to look at in the morning? Check. Want a street bike that’s different than all your buddies Sunday rides? Check. Want to add something to the garage that’s an icon and collectible? Check. Want to giggle like a twelve-year-old every time you twist the throttle? Check.

Happy to answer any questions, or take more pics. I’m only getting rid of this as I’ve got a line on a 2004 RC51 and don’t need both. Price is more than fair compared to some other RC51s currently on the market. This bike isn’t perfect and the price reflects that. Test ride only with M1, riding gear, and the full price in my hand. Located in SF, clean title and current registration. 1% to BARF.

Looking to sell the bike first hopefully. If it doesn't sell I might just follow through on my race-prep plan.
It's not a 'no', just a 'not yet'....

I’m sick of dealing with CL flakes, it’s just not worth the effort. Make me an offer, happy to make a good deal to keep the good karma on BARF

Macrider, the bike got sold without any of the extras, so let me know if you still want some of them. I’ll put something up in the spares but you’ve got first dibs on fairings and forks.
